about

Having contracted COVID 19 in October of 2020, I become seriously ill and had to go into hospital. This a song of hope and reflection and that this day might be my last.

lyrics

My last good breath (A.Smith) 11/01/2021
Intro:
I close my eyes and breathe so deep
As I lay here upon these pure white sheets
A ventilator mask is all I need
To take me to my destiny
Chorus:
Well, I hope and I pray, that this won’t be the day
So much to do, so much to say
And I can’t see the light, and I can’t see...... the day
Solo:
A blue dress and a mask, is all that she needs
And brown eyes full of sympathies
Well, she gave me this, and gave me that
As I gasped, for my last good breath
Chorus:
I open my eyes, a new day has begun
Hoping for, a chance to start again
Thankful for being spared! Just one more time
With the care of a nurse, an angel in disguise
Chorus 2:
Well, I hoped and prayed, that it wouldn’t be the day,
I had so much to do, and so much to say
Well, I can see the light, and I can see....... the day
